The Body, Nothing Else is a series of works, paintings, sculptures, monotypes and book art reflecting on the way the female body is addressed in art, science and society. How (women's) bodies are gendered, politicised, objectified, policed. I consider the body, our corporeality, the sensorial aspects of it, vs. the conceptual, the thinking mind, as the way in which we experience being alive as a sentient being, and as a powerful potential site for compassion.
